-Supporting radical grassroots organizations
Bar None is an abolitionist prisoner solidarity group based out of Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Prison Rideshare is an ongoing project of Bar None to connect people with rides to visit their friends and loved ones who are in prison.
Gizhiwenimin is a grassroots network that works to help support LGBTQ2S refugees coming to Winnipeg.
We are still collecting donations for raffles and food, so get in touch if you or someone you know might want to contribute. This is a “dry” social, is wheelchair accessible, and kid friendly though we still haven’t figured out if there will be a dedicated child minding space or if they’ll just run free.
Tickets are available through the West End Cultural Centre (https://www.wecc.ca/site09/tickets.html), and are available directly from Bar None (Prison Visiting Rideshare – Manitoba) for sliding scale 10$-30$.
Doors: 6:30pm
Music: 7pm
Ends at 11pm
